Why IYU
Learning Chinese is hard.
There's no magic pill or secret hack that'll help your child master Chinese. It takes work, perseverance, and love.
Here, we begin with love, and trust that hard work will follow.
We provide guidance and encouragement so our students can help themselves improve and succeed.
That's why every December, 99.777% of our students continue to enrol with us another year.
Our unique and customisable teaching systems developed over a decade of experience, have been proven to not only be effective for helping students learning Chinese,
but encourage them to love the process.
Once they love it, hard work comes naturally.
Mastery is just a matter of time.
If that's what you would like for you child, check out our courses, and embark on this journey with us today!
IYU is flexible, so that your child can thrive.
Our children are so unique that schools may not give them the support they need.
That's why we made our largest classes 6 students : 1 teacher, and our smallest classes 1 - 1 sessions. Compared to the average class in school, thats 5x to 30x more attention, care, and feedback that your child will receive from our teachers.

IYU is obsessed with efficiency, just like you.
Practice papers: Hated by students and parents' wallets.
We dont' believe in throwing practice papers at our students. It brews pain without improvement, resulting in boredom and hatred towards Mandarin over time.
Instead, we took papers out of our classrooms; You won't find kids rushing papers or teachers marking essays there. During class, our teachers communicate with students, review mistakes, and equip them with the skills to tackle the practice tests we provide, at home, on their own.
IYU's top priority is that your child enjoys learning Mandarin.
At our centres, the only shrieking that takes place is when the printer runs out of ink.
Scolding has never been, and will never be part of our teaching philosophy. That's because no one has learnt a language by sitting in a room for two hours every week being reprimanded for every little mistake. It takes time and effort, and a love for the language just makes learning that much easier.
That's why our teachers pride ourselves in making lessons as fun as possible. If your child likes learning Mandarin with us, they will master it. It's that simple.
