About us

IYU Learning Centre is a Language School based in Singapore. We teach Mandarin and offer a variety of programs for children, youth, and adults. We are dedicated to helping our students reach their goals and improve in this language.

We are experienced and energetic teachers with big dreams. We work together towards our common goal and passion to teach. We build IYU, having this as our core value, to teach, to spread the love and joy in understanding Chinese.

With us, you can opt to study and learn with a private tutor or in an exclusive group, we conduct small classes with lots of individual attention. We customize and optimize our private Chinese lessons for each individual, allowing them to fully achieve their desired proficiency in Mandarin.

Adult Class

At IYU, we tailor to support you both in the workplace and in your daily lives building confidence to present yourself communicating and improving productivity. Join us from zero knowledge with our fuss-free programs, learning privately in a one-to-one class with undivided attention or together with a friend, colleague, family, your loved ones.

Benefits from Basic Mandarin, Conversational Mandarin, Survival Mandarin, Business Chinese, Chinese for telecom, sales, etc … Beginner to Advanced level.

Our Teaching Content includes: Pronunciation, Vocabulary, Grammer, Chinese Characters, Cultural Teaching, etc… Related hands-on activities will be arranged.

MOE Class

Having troubles forcing your child learning Mandarin? Frustrating over your child pronouncing the words right?

At IYU, we cater to your child sets of interesting and new ways of teaching, making them loving the language, capturing their attention with fun activities, in the process with building their confidence escalating to higher grades.

Our affordable lessons can be scheduled to take place either at your home or at one of our learning centre to your convenience. Our learning centre is conveniently located near MRT Stations.

Our Teaching Content includes: Listening, identify reading, Composition Writing, Art Making, Comical role-play, Calligraphy, Brushworks, Cultural teaching, etc…

International Class

To spread the love for Chinese cultural, IYU having the main language as Mandarin, we designed a series of courses for different age class, not only enabling students to be able to speak fluent Mandarin with confidence, but also to sing along in the process during learning while building a strong foundation making the impression in their hearts. (IB , GCSE)

Holiday Camp

Aimed to enhance children's interest in learning Chinese, our camp will be based on different themes, each camp is a different adventure. We design our fun camp for all levels through drama, Chinese painting, calligraphy, art and craft, science experiment, and so on. Our students will learn to express their feelings, preferences, and opinions in Chinese, according to their individual language levels during the camp.

Xia Lao Shi

Master degree, Bachelor's Degree from Normal University in China, More than 10 years teaching experiences. Teaching Specialities: Business; HSK; MOE and GCSE Syllabus.

Zhang Lao Shi

Graduated from NTU Confucius Institute, Acquired Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. - teaching Chinese as the second language for Adults, Children, MOE Syllabus for 8 years.

Yang Lao Shi

Bachelor' Degree from Shandong University in China, 10 years teaching experience. Acquired Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. Especially good at HSK and YCT test Preparation.

IYU believes that Not all nature speaker from China could teach Chinese, one of the most successful educators are able to offer encouragement when students feel defeated and celebrate small achievements as major victories.

Creativity is another essential character trait for teaching language. It requires resourcefulness in adapting lessons to meet the needs of different type of students. Basic skills and difficult concepts need to be simplified and delivered using engaging methods that every student can grasp.

Lastly, teachers from IYU must also be able to present the same information in various ways to cater to different learning styles. to help each student achieve their own learning objectives.
